Live in the moment

Where you go,
what you see,
who you meet,
is a mystery.

Who joins you,
who you join,
as time travels,
is but destiny.

So many faces we face in a day, so many steps we take in a day. And as we walk through life, we never know if we will meet again the cute little girl who smiled at us just like that. Or the old man with a hundred wrinkles who made that face when we indulged in some PDA. Or the handsome foreigner who greeted us a good morning all through our stay at a hilltop Indian hotel while the natives ignored us and vice-versa. Or the lovely person running to catch a train while we are doing the same at a station we never visited before!

If only life was a Yash Chopra movie! We could rewind and play that moment when we crossed paths with our soul mate on a busy day, neither of us noticing each other, not knowing our paths will cross again and then join for good!

We do not know what we might remember as we notice so many people and things in a day. And beautiful moments are mysteries of memories, some stay with us for long, some leave us in week, some are gone even before we are able to recollect.

So take a pause. Live in the moment. Observe. Smile. Make a memory you would want to, and could, recollect.

  1. I actually paused and searched my memory - and found smiles, seems like my mind collects smiles, such a happy thing. Thanks

    1. @Afshan, it feels pretty strange right? The first time I experienced it was during my honeymoon at Ooty. Inspired by the foreigners, I felt like smiling at other Indians staying at the same hotel... but it felt so weird. At the first attempt, I did not get a response, and so I didn't try again ;)

  5. You actually make it seem really easy along with
your presentation however I to find this matter
to be really something which I think I'd by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very large for me. I'm looking forward for your next put up,
I will try to get the hold of it!

And with that you have just about summarized the essence of life. What a wonderful perspective Anu. Good luck!
